IGDAM Meetup February 2025

Hey folks,

A little late on the send-out (apologies) but yes, there is a meetup next week!

This month marks the return of the playtesting showcase, supported by Fortress Melbourne. Make sure to grab a ticket below - as usual we’ll be upstairs in the Alienware Arena, but you’re welcome to hang out in the Tavern if you arrive before it starts at 6.30pm.

PS:
If you have a game on a portable device or laptop you’re welcome to bring it even if you’re not part of the ‘showcase’. Pop it on a table away from food/drink, respecting the space of other patrons around you - but remember that you won’t be able to plug it into power due to OH&S reasons (and a lack of plugs, anyway).

GGJ Showcase - Save The Date!

Congrats to those who braved the 48 hours and came out of it alive - with a game!
To celebrate the hard work of those who attended, mark the date in your calendar:

March 11th @ St Kilda Town Hall, 6pm - 9pm

More info will be sent out closer to the date, including a form for folks wanting to show their game. Please note, as this will be a catered event, try to register as soon as tickets/spots become available. This will help us feed you properly, and reduce waste.

Victorian Community Spotlight

Sabby is a co-working space 141 Victoria Parade, Collingwood (not Fitzroy) for artists, game makers, crafters and zinesters.

There’s a bunch of great events coming up, it’s a choice spot to body-double during the week, and another way to share your WIPs - so check it out!
